Nursing experience, or Infection Control background preferred. The Infection Preventionist (IP)
must be customer service driven with a desire to continually grow and develop in the knowledge and
practice of Infection Prevention and Control. The IP will be assisting in the monitoring,
surveillance, prevention, and control of healthcare-associated infections. Duties include:
Performing Infection Control and Environment of Care Rounds, hand hygiene, personal protective
equipment observations, investigating outbreaks, providing education to staff, patients, and
visitors. The IP will serve as a liaison in communicating with the department of health and other entities.
